Are you a criminal if you break the law?

Howard Industries of Laurel, Mississippi, hired hundreds of illegal aliens in the past few years. Last summer, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency raided Howard. Nearly 600 illegals were taken into custody. More than 100 of those were immediately released pending the outcome of their cases. One of those was Angelica Olmedo. She has been here illegally more than eight years. Her 13-year-old son was smuggled into the country when he was five. She was outfitted with an electronic ankle bracelet. But no one is monitoring the devices -- hers came off her foot, and no one from ICE has contacted her yet.

All this is bad enough, but here's what Angelica has to say, "It's to shame me. That's all it was, to shame me. To make me look like a criminal."

Well, Angelica, let me clue you in on something here. It's not the bracelet that makes you look like a criminal. You look like a criminal because you ARE a criminal! That's what we call people who brazenly break the law.
