The Top Ten Myths

Thomas Sowell is one of the most brilliant economists in America. He recommends a book by Sally C. Pipes, The Top Ten Myths of American Health Care. I just saw in the paper where the Democrat's plan would force private insurers to cover pre-existing conditions and not allow them to increase rates for high risk pools. That will drive them out of business. Pipes discusses mandated coverage along with myths about the number of uninsured Americans, drug costs, and rationed care.

Every member of congress should be required to read this book before he votes on Obamacare! I urge you to read it, too, then make your views known to your senators and representative.

"Why universal health care is a bad idea." The Dallas Morning News; January 10, 2009; p. 21A.
