Let's reach out and love everybody!

In all the hoopla about Korea's aggressive missile tests, the fact that in April Iran test-fired a missile with the capability of reaching not only Israel, but also the United States was kind of lost in the news. This happened after Obama said he wants to "reach out" to Iran and called for "a world without nuclear weapons." Why would we want to reach out to a rogue nation like Iran? Does anyone in his right mind think you can trust what comes from a nation whose goal is to eliminate Israel? The missile test also came after evangelical leaders in April announced a national initiative to enlist Christians online and in schools and churches to make a moral case for nuclear disarmament. Tyler Wigg Stevenson (whom I perceive to be a bit wiggy), the 30-something pastor leading this fuzzy, feel-good drive, says, "What I dream about is a group of people who are talking about why they are committed to this issue as Christians, so that when people think about the elimination of nuclear weapons in the 21st century, they'll think about the face of evangelical Christianity." If you analyze that statement, it says absolutely nothing! Come on, flower children, let's reach out and love everybody! And while we're doing that, Iran and Korea are taking aim!
