Some Quotes and Observations on Trading Terrorists for Traitors

"The United States has always had a pretty sacred rule, and that is we don't leave our men or women in uniform behind." ~ Barack Obama

Disclaimer: Unless they happen to be at the embassy in Benghazi.

"Regardless of circumstances, whatever those circumstances may turn out to be, we still get an American prisoner back. Period." ~ Barack Obama
**********
Reminder: "If you like your plan, you can keep your plan. Period."

**********
Disclaimer: Was Bergdahl a prisoner, or a traitorous collaborator with the enemy? The evidence seems to point to the latter.

"Is there the possibility of some of them trying to return to activities that are detrimental to us? Absolutely." ~ Barack Obama.

Translation: These guys could very well mount an attack like 9/11, but my agenda is more important than the lives of Americans.

"I wouldn't be doing it if I thought it would be contrary to American national security." ~ Barack Obama

**********
Lie: See first statement in this section on the likelihood of them mounting an attack. Both these statements cannot be true, because one directly contradicts the other.

"He served the United States with honor and distinction." ~ Susan Rice.

"The system is wrong. I am ashamed to be an american. And the title of US soldier is just the lie of fools." ~ Bowe Bergdahl

"Sergeant Bergdahl wasn’t simply a hostage; he was an American prisoner of war captured on the battlefield.”  ~ Susan Rice

Does this side of the story sound anything like Rice's version? Which do you believe?

"Sources who had debriefed two former members of Bergdahl’s unit said Bergdahl left behind a note the night he left base in which he expressed disillusionment with the Army and being an American and suggested that he wanted to renounce his American citizenship and go find the Taliban." ~ Fox News Report

“What I was referring to is the fact that this was a young man who volunteered to serve his country in uniform at a time of war. That in itself is a very honorable thing.” ~ Susan Rice

It goes without saying: The same is true of Nidal Hassan.

"To those criticizing the administration's handling of the return of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl: . . . please be brave enough to stand up and tell his parents that you would rather that Sgt. Bergdahl have remained in the hands of his captors because the administration didn't follow your rules." ~ Mac Hopkin, Frisco

Question to Mac: Would you be brave enough to stand up and tell the parents of those who lost their lives because of this man that it was worth it to try to "rescue" a traitor?

"Follow your conscience." ~ Bob Bergdahl when his son told him that the title of U.S. soldier was the lie of fools.

Was Bob Bergdahl actually encouraging his son to place not only himself in danger, but also the 6-14 soldiers reported to have died looking for him and the ones who died in the strange coincidence of increased attacks immediately after Bergdahl went missing?
