Besides setting a bad example, getting drunk in front of your kids is dangerous. Duke Lawrence Watrous ruined his family's Christmas this year. In fact, he probably ruined all the rest of their Christmases, because they will always be a reminder. Duke had too much to drink. He shot his 10-year-old daughter and killed her on Christmas Eve. Authorities don't think he did it intentionally. When police and ambulance arrived, little Ashley was on the dining room table where she was pronounced dead. It is not clear how long she had been there.
Last April, Duke was arrested on a count of injury to a child or an elderly or disabled person. Wonder if he had been drinking then, too?
