The Carrollton City Council is either afraid of being called un-pc or just plain stupid.
Due to decreasing city revenue, the city has cut services, laid off employees, raised fees, and cut funding for charities in the past few years. A couple of years ago, they cancelled the 4th of July parade. But this year when they were asked to sponsor the MLK parade, they said, "Why, sure!"
So they can't afford to honor our country's founding heroes, but they can afford to honor a plagiarizing adulterer.
