Sheila Dixon, the mayor of Baltimore, is a Democrat, a member of the party of compassion. She was convicted last month of taking gift cards from a program intended for the city's poor children and using them to buy electronics, including an Xbox video game system, for herself. Sheila has also been accused of taking more than $17,000 worth of New York and Chicago shopping spree trips from a developer seeking city business -- a developer who happens to be her former boyfriend. He was indicted for bribery. Sheila's just like most members of the "party of compassion" -- they're only compassionate insofar as it benefits them personally. By the way, she is now the former mayor of Baltimore.
