One of the arguments you often hear for "tolerance" of other religions, especially Islam, is that whether we call Him God, Yahweh, or Allah, we all worship the same God. I've always said that was a crock, but now the Muslims are admitting it.
A Malaysian court recently handed down a decision allowing Christians to translate God as Allah. One Muslim said, "Allah is only for us." The ruling applies to Malay language Bibles and newspapers. The government contends that making Allah synonymous with God may confuse Muslims and mislead them into converting to Christianity, a punishable offense in Malaysia which boasts "freedom of religion."
So the Muslims are rioting and firebombing churches. So tolerant!
